Madeira

We meet at Madeira airport and head to the island's capital – Funchal. There, spacious apartments will be waiting for us, which will become our base for the week. And then we'll go to a local restaurant to taste Madeiran delicacies: Espada com banana, Bolo do Caco, and of course, Poncha.

Today we'll explore the east of the island – the incredible São Lourenço Peninsula. The landscapes there are simply out of this world, so it's no surprise that another installment of Star Wars. And then we'll head to a beach that's completely atypical for a volcanic island, because its white sand was imported all the way from Western Sahara!

We'll start exploring the mountainous part of the island by going canyoning. Afterwards, we'll enjoy a delicious meal and feed birds by hand, which only live on Madeira, and we'll end the day with karting amidst volcanic rocks.

A new day and a new adventure – we're embarking on the main hike of this trip: we'll trek between two peaks and conquer the highest summit – Pico Ruivo. And in the evening, we'll witness perhaps the most beautiful sunset of your life.

Today, we'll embark on a speedboat into the open ocean in search of whales and other marine creatures. Next: the Madeiran plateau with its waterfalls and majestic ancient forest Fanal.

Today, we'll explore the Caldeirão Verde levada, where you can feel as if you're in the Amazon. Afterwards, we'll drive to a picturesque town that Winston Churchill immortalized in several of his paintings, and there we'll taste Madeira – the fortified wine that made the island famous worldwide.

And finally, we head to the black volcanic beach of Seixal, swim in the lava pools, and watch the sunset at the edge of the world.

Today we conclude our adventure on the Island of Eternal Spring. We say goodbye, hug, and make plans for future trips together, because it's on such adventures that you'll find worthy companions for future escapades!
